Prior to booking, please read through our reservation policies listed below. We have tried to make these as concise as possible to avoid taking the fun out of your wedding day. Should you have any questions, please send us an email or give us a call at (865) 365-5025.
Reserving a Ceremony
Your wedding ceremony reservation can be booked online using this reservation system. We can also accept reservations over the phone at (865) 365-5025. Reservations are subject to availability and are not final until we have received your deposit, your signed contract, and given our official confirmation. Please note that some locations (private creekside and any location within the Great Smoky Mountain National Park) have availabilities that are dependent on other parties. If your exact chosen time is unavailable, we will offer you the closest available time. Once we have received your deposit, we will be in contact with you during this process.
Deposits & Payments
For Mynatt Park, Private Creekside, and Your Cabin Rental locations: A deposit of one-half (50%) of the total service is required at the time of reserving your wedding. This payment can be made online via PayPal, Visa, Mastercard, Discover, or American Express. If you make a reservation via phone with us, we can accept Visa, Mastercard, Discover, or American Express payments. The remaining balance is due payable in CASH-ONLY at the time of the ceremony. If you prefer to pay your balance via credit card, please call us at least 72 hours prior to your wedding.
For all National Park locations: A deposit of twenty-five percent (25%) of the total service is required at the time of reserving your wedding. This payment can be made online via PayPal, Visa, Mastercard, Discover, or American Express. If you make a reservation via phone with us, we can accept Visa, Mastercard, Discover, or American Express payments. The remaining balance is due payable at least 30 days prior to your scheduled wedding date. The remaining balance can be paid via credit card through your online portal or via phone at (865) 365-5025.
Cancellations & Reschedulements
Please finalize your travel plans before making a reservation. All deposits are NON-REFUNDABLE. If you need to reschedule, this option is available, at no cost, with the Mynatt Park and Private Creekside locations. However, there is a $150.00 fee to reschedule a wedding taking place inside of the Great Smoky Mountain National Park in order to apply for a new permit for your new date.
Before you can get married here, you will need a marriage license issued from the State of Tennessee. After booking, you will receive the information on our marriage license offices and where to obtain that from. Be sure to bring this marriage license with you to your wedding as the minister will need to sign and file it at the conclusion of your wedding service. Vow renewals do not require a marriage license.
We perform many wedding ceremonies in the Smoky Mountains and it makes it really hard on us and other couples if we have to wait for you (or others in your party) to arrive or get ready. For this reason, please be at the location and ready at the designated time (15 minutes prior to your scheduled start time). Traffic can be EXTREMELY heavy in Gatlinburg, Pigeon Forge, and the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. If you are not ready at the designated time, Elope to Gatlinburg reserves the right to reschedule your wedding (at our availability) and charge a $200.00 rescheduling fee in addition to any remaining balance due. In addition, since Great Smoky Mountain National Park permits are only issued for a specific date/time, your wedding would now need to take place at a different location outside of the National Park. We really hate doing this but please understand that we have other ceremonies to attend and cannot be late. In addition, we cannot obtain a replacement permit on such short notice for National Park weddings as permits require a 14 day minimum lead time. Please...and we stress this with everything we have...show up on time.
Final Payment & Paperwork
The officiant or officiant & photographer will meet with you at your designated time at your designated location. Once the wedding services are complete, the minister will take care of the marriage license and return it to the county clerk via USPS First Class mail to be processed.
